ROUNDUP · 25 MARCH 2011
My girlfriends drenched me in a whole lotta love this past weekend (a billion hugs & kisses)! These lovely ladies complimented the ultra shiny hair, pastel nails, and neon pink lips I was sporting on Saturday. Though, I quickly pointed out that it's the beauty products that deserved all the attention of their compliments.
While I love a good blowout, it’s hard to find the time to pop over to Drybar. Instead, I’ve started applying Kerastase's Cristalliste Lumiere Liquide Serum throughout towel-dried hair (avoiding the roots) and blowing the hair out with John Frieda'sThermal Round Brush. I’ve found this combination works wonders for manageability and frizz and is almost as good as a professional blowout …
I recently scooped up MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA'S (UNTITLED). This woodsy perfume is not usually my style, but I fell weak at the knees for the minimalist packaging and convinced myself to give it a go. It’s a complex fragrance, but I find the scent is accentuated when there is a chill in the air. I love teaming this scent with an oversized sweater and a spiced chai latte in hand.
I am always on the hunt for a new bright pink lip shade and was thrilled when I was sent this ultra-glossy lacquer from Victoria's Secret Beauty. It’s a bit thicker than my usual glosses from YSL or Giorgio Armani Beauty, but the color on my lips lasts forever (well, not forever, but a long time in the lip gloss game). Butter London 'Teddy Girl' launched a few weeks ago, just in time for spring. This pastel pink nail polish is a perfect color for splashing on toes during their first outing in sandals or for any May weddings.
